Welcome to Furkids R' Us
Pet Sitting
Furkids R' Us began as a pet sitting service in 2006, but has expanded its services to include
behavior counseling for dogs as well as energy healing sessions for humans and all animals.
PET SITTING
Pet Sitting involves hiring a professional to care for your pets in your own home, and
can be used in a variety of circumstances. Some use it as an alternative to boarding
when they go on vacation; others to help their dogs get through the long workday with
either a short potty break or a long walk. You can also schedule pet sitting visits even
if you will be home, but are unable to walk and exercise your dog yourself! Furkids
has a team of dedicated and trustworthy pet sitters who will come care for your dogs,
cats, birds, reptiles, small animals, and even some barnyard animals, too! We service
Chalfont, PA and the immediate surrounding areas (includes Montgomeryville,
Lansdale, Hatfield, Warrington, Doylestown, Dublin).
BEHAVIOR COUNSELING
In-home behavior counseling sessions are provided by Shawna Ricci, owner of
Furkids R' Us, and certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College. These
sessions can be scheduled on an individual, as-needed basis for help with specific
issues that arise or as part of a package deal for a series of sessions for more
extensive support. Counseling sessions are helpful for: pre-adoption assistance in
determining the right type of dog for your family, guidance when bringing your new
puppy or adult dog home, teaching basic obedience and manners, problem-solving for
common issues (jumping, mouthing, walking on leash, counter-surfing), mild
aggression problems or reactive dogs, learning how to safely socialize your dog,
teaching your dog to walk on the treadmill, deaf dog training, and more! Call to
discuss the issues you are facing with your canine friend for a more harmonious
relationship and household.
ENERGY HEALING
Furkids offers Reiki for people and animals. Reiki is a holistic ancient Japanese
method of stress reduction which involves the gentle flow of healing energy from the
hands of practitioner to the client. Reiki is part of an exciting movement within the
modern healthcare field, where hospitals are offering it in conjunction with traditional
Western medicine to improve healing time, pain control, and overall spiritual and
emotional wellbeing of patients. Reiki sessions may be done in your home or from a
distance by appointment only. Distance Reiki will be done by a single certified Reiki
Master Practitioner. In-home Reiki will be done by a team of 2 certified Reiki Master
